Adjustable Headrest
You can adjust the headrest vertically with five different positions to choose from and an overall adjustment range of 5cm. There are also 3 different positions to tilt the headrest. It is important to know that the headrest is not meant to be used on the head like a car seat headrest. This headrest should go in the curve of your neck to provide maximum support to the neck and head.
Back Height Adjustment
Slide the backrest up or down to position the backrest in your choice of four different height positions. It is important to choose a height that will maximize lumbar and shoulder support. See the lumbar support section above for a good description on how to utilize the lumbar support.
Adjustable Lumbar Support
The lumbar area is the natural curve that occurs in your lower back You can adjust the height of the backrest to position the lumbar support directly on this region. The Ergohuman will then provide the ample tension to this region depending on your body weight. The lumbar support on the Ergohuman chair is quite possibly its best feature and is among the best in the business
Adjustable Armrests
The armrests adjust up or down with the push of a button. Choose between 6 different vertical arm positions. The arm caps swivel to 3 different positions to provide better support for various computing or tasking positions. It is recommended that you position the armrests so that your elbow is at a 90° angle with your shoulders fully relaxed.
Tilt Tension Control
The tilt tension control to increase or decrease the resistance. To increase the tension, simply turn the large knob under the seat clockwise and vice versa to decrease the tension.
Seat Height Adjustment
Allows the user to move the seat height up or down with the simple push of a lever. It is recommended that you sit with your knees at about a 90° angle to achieve the best ergonomic position. When the user pushes the lever, the seat height will go down if the user sits on the chair and it will rise if the user removes their weight.
Adjustable Seat Depth
Allows the user to adjust the seat on a horizontal plane to position the edge of the seat 1-2 inches behind the back of the knees. This adjustment is very helpful for short and tall people. Pushing the lever will release the seat pan and it will slide freely on a horizontal axis.Once it is in the desired position, push the lever to its original position to lock the seat in place.
Back Angle Adjustment
The back angle is fully adjustable with 3 different positions for the user to lock the backrest in place. The user may also choose to recline freely and use the tilt tension control to increase or decrease the resistance. To increase the tension, simply turn the large knob under the seat clockwise and vice versa to decrease the tension.
Synchro -Tilt Mechanism / Tilt Lock
This function makes the back of the seat pan tilt 1° down for every 2.7° of backrest tilt. As the user reclines with the backrest, the seat will automatically adjust to cradle the user. This is to help the user keep a neutral ergonomic position while reclining. It is usually in the users best interest to keep their waist at a 90° angle while seated for the best ergonomic position. The neutral lever position provides a 3 position lilt lock.
